Our program began in 1985, as an independent program at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. It was in 1985 that we originated the concept of intensive MCAT preparation. The course was founded by Dr. Stephen Bresnick, M.D., and was designed right from the start to be the most intensive, high-yield MCAT prep program in the country. Columbia Review dedicated itself early on to specialize in the MCAT and medical school admissions assistance, rather than the multitude of test prep programs that other companies offer. Our program has expanded greatly over the last decade, and is now offered to students throughout the world via our Intensive Home Study Course.
